Leaving During the School Day?

Students who need to leave school during the school day must have parental permission.  The morning of the absence, please do one of the following:  send a note with your child and have them bring it to the office, email renee.kester@ankenyschools.org,  linda.gust@ankenyschools.org or call 965-9640.   We will then get a pass for your child to come to the office at the designated time. The student checks out with the office and will be released when a parent arrives at the main doors (W1) in order to keep building traffic to a minimum.  Following this process will help ensure your student is ready at the designated time and that all staff and teachers are prepared for their departure.

PARKVIEW GIVING TREE CHALLENGE

The L.E.A.D. Council at Parkview has chosen to do a “Giving Tree Challenge” . They have designed a slide show to tell you all about it! Please click on Parkview Giving Tree challenge to see their presentation. Students are to take their donations to their homeroom, whereas we will be having a challenge between homerooms to see who can donate the most items. Our L.E.A.D. Council has chosen to donate these items to the IMPACT Ankeny Pantry. IMPACT provides hundreds of Ankeny and rural Polk County residents with food and personal hygiene items every month. This is made possible partially by the community and the donations it makes. This is where we come in, just by donating a few items we can potentially make a huge positive impact on someone’s life. In light of the holiday spirit we want to give back to our community and we hope you do too!
